Registration is now open for our Spring Recreation Programs.
From cardio and strength training to arts classes, paddleboarding and kayaking, there are many programs to choose from.

Greetings Pickleball Friends!!
All players known to be registered have been sent a confirmation Bcc email. If you have not received your tournament registration confirmation, please reply to this email with details. This email is only being sent to active 2025 WRPA members and also confirms you are a member in good standing with the White Rock Pickleball Association.
Registrations from WRPA are strong to the point the tournament organizers decided to make all three Open categories "wait list only." We want to give preference to local players while we sort through some minor registration problems including duplicate team entries, and pairing individuals into teams etc. All registrations submitted as of March 15 are confirmed to play in the tournament
Please note the Recreational division will not be offered because we only received two entries. The teams registered will be contacted and offered an opportunity to play in one of the other divisions.
Many teams registered and did not provide the PCO number of their partners. Please have these numbers available and reply to the email which will be sent out Bcc asking for this mandatory information.
Surprisingly, we do have space to register in the 65+ Division in the Womens, Mens and Mixed categories. Players must be born 1960 or earlier. Tomorrow is the last opportunity for WRPA members to register early before this division is open for general public registrations.
As you know, this tournament is a fundraiser for the ALS Society of BC and the fee is by donation. For those people who decided to wait until their registrations were confirmed, attached is the link:
Alternately, players are welcome to donate on the day of the tournament.
Thanks for your support!! We're looking forward to a fun tournament!!!
Best regards- Tournament Organizing Committee

City of White Rock seeks local artists for exciting mural opportunity

The City of White Rock is inviting BC artists to submit proposals for two new public art projects. These murals will enhance prominent locations in the city, adding vibrancy to public spaces while celebrating local themes.
The two mural locations and themes are:
-West Parkade (14935 Victoria Ave, White Rock Beach) Theme: Natural Environment
-Balsam Street Comfort Station (15457 Marine Dr) Theme: Vintage
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme in a way that speaks to their unique vision while incorporating elements that reflect the spirit, history, and natural beauty of White Rock.
“Public art has the power to transform spaces, inspire conversation, and reflect the unique character of our city,” said White Rock Mayor Megan Knight. “We are excited to welcome creative interpretations of these themes that celebrate White Rock’s coastal charm and rich history.”
This initiative is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to integrate public art into the community. Selected artists will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on White Rock’s cultural landscape through their unique artistic vision.
Artists and artist teams interested in applying are encouraged to review full details and submission requirements at whiterockcity.ca/public-art

The Peace Arch Hospital Gala

You have never experienced New Orleans, Louisiana like this...
The award-winning Peace Arch Hospital Gala is back, featuring the mysterious world of The Big Easy after dark. Enter Bourbon Street, where the sound of brass bands and street performers create a vibrant tapestry woven with the threads of history, music, and life itself.
Join us as we immerse you in fascinating Cajun culture and cuisine, along with the allure of the French Quarter where anything, and everything, happens under the shadowy cover of night. Beneath the flickering lights and the starry New Orleans sky, there is a celebration of the senses — it’s wild, chaotic, and utterly unforgettable. This is a place where stories collide; each corner whispers of the rich history of fortunesuntold and the jazz legends who once roamed these streets. Lose yourself in its embrace and feel the energy linger long after the music fades.
Every dollar raised will support Peace Arch Hospital so your family, and every family, can receive the best care possible.
Tickets are on sale now!

Lots of FACEBOOK posts for people wanting to donate stuff, invite people to check out this group, always lots of people looking to pick up what you're getting rid of, super friendly and reliable and a wonderful community group.
